Rules of Living is a warm, character-driven dramedy about self-discovery, connection, and the courage it takes to break free from life on autopilot. At its heart is Mikuko — a woman at a crossroads in mid-life, whose life is turned upside down when she takes in an unexpected roommate. Across cultural and linguistic worlds, the film explores how everyday encounters can open us up to new possibilities, inviting audiences to reflect on friendship, language, and the freedom to re-write our own rules.
